By Andrew from Baltimore New to forum, hello...[1] I just started working with a '94 HT20 with seicos control after 13 years on a haas.[2] I am having trouble with the toolsetter offsets.[3] I set my tools with the q-setter and it records the offset for the tool, no problem.[4] Put the machine in MDI mode, type in G0 X0, and tool goes to dead center of chuck, no problem.[5] When I load a program from mastercam and try to cut, X is supposed to go to 2.2" but machine goes to the tool offset lets say X 5.0" for simplicity 2.2, so 7.2".[6] Now, if I go back to MDI mode and type G0 X0, it goes to X5.0".[7] The Tool Origin says its at 5.0" but is acting like 0.[8] If I take out the tool offset, then the machine thinks X0 is actually -5.0" below the chuck.[9] The only way I have found to get things back to normal is to take out the offsets, ...

By Don 2 from Arkansas Hello, I am having trouble with the Spindle start, and constant speed.[1] We have a fadal CNC 88, VMC 4020 Mid 90's.[2] We put a new Baldor drive motor on the spindle, Had the Inverter rebuilt.[3] The Spindle shudders back and forth real fast at start up.[4] It takes along time to orient the spindle.[5] And when I get the spindle started in the program, it can be running at the proper RPM and suddenly stop or start that shuddering business again, then the Rpm will speed up and then slow down, untill it starts shuddering again, and then it shuts off and reads Spindle Driver Fault.[6] When it does this it does not show any fault codes on the Inverter.[7] Any Body got any Idea on what to check next.[8] Any help would be appreciated ...
